Women’s leadership has allowed Naperville businesses to grow into huge economic engines in Naperville. One of the ways women have left their mark on Naperville business is through organizations aimed at supporting local businesses and helping them grow as agents of city development. Christine Jeffries has served as president of the Naperville Development Partnership, a public/private organization tasked with economic development in Naperville, since 1997. The Naperville Development Partnership assumed leadership of the Naperville Convention & Visitor’s Bureau in 1999 and began Dine Naperville in 2005.

Nicki Anderson was a transformational president at the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce. The first female leader for the NACC, she also helped modernize the organization and increased its agility. She also serves as the current Director of L.E.A.D.S. (Leadership, Empowerment, Action, Development, and Service), a leadership program designed for undergraduate women at Benedictine University. Kaylin Risvold was hired as the president and CEO of the NACC in 2019. She was selected for her history of advocacy and passionate leadership to help direct the Chamber into the future.
